Sin City Self Poitrait #4

I was watching a movie called "Sin City" the other night and saw this special effect in the movie and wanted to recreate it as a sel poitrait. I wasn't sure how to go about doing it, but after several attempts figured it out. I used monochrome setting with black and white. Speed is 1/60, f stop is f4.5 and ISO is 800. I was wearing dark clothes and a black head cover. I went to the darkest are in my downstairs area to snap the image, but  the glasses didn't give me the results I wanted. So I cut out pieces of white paper and taped it to my glasses and shazzam it worked. It looks kinda eerie, but I created the special effect I was trying to do.

  1. You accomplished shot very well! It does have an eerie feel, but you conveyed a sense of mystery and wonder, which is not easy to do!

  3. Roger, you come up with some great ideas! I never would have thought of something like this. I was wondering how you got your glasses to stand out and when I read that you simply used paper I couldn't believe it! Great job!
